A global professional membership organisation is seeking a Professional Development Officer to join its Professional Qualifications division for a 6‑week engagement. This team ensures that members and future members meet required professional standards and that the organisation continues to deliver first‑class quality services.
This role offers a competitive daily rate (to the umbrella) and presents an excellent opportunity to gain invaluable experience working with a highly reputable professional body. The first few days will be delivered in person for training in the Glasgow office, after which the work will transition to being fully remote.
The position focuses on reviewing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) evidence and supporting the quality assurance of professional experience. You will play an important part in ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations, maintaining the integrity of the organisation’s professional standards, and contributing to member retention and progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Review CPD evidence submitted by members to ensure it meets regulatory and organisational requirements.
- Assess information from members and future members, using sound judgement to determine appropriate outcomes.
- Support the quality assurance of practical experience submissions for future members.
- Communicate with members and internal stakeholders, providing clear guidance on expectations, standards, and review outcomes.
- Manage high volumes of cases while maintaining accuracy and meeting tight deadlines.
- Work proactively and independently as well as part of a wider team.

- Strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skills, capable of engaging with members and senior professionals.

- Experienced in customer‑facing or service‑oriented environments, ideally within education, membership, or professional organisations.
- Strong IT capability, including experience with D365, Word, Excel, and handling data or databases.
