Be-Resourcing are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Environmental /Sustainability Co-ordinator to join our client, one of the UK’s most prominent law firms and help shape their journey to net zero. This role can be based out of their Glasgow or Edinburgh office, on a hybrid basis, and is paying circa £30,000 - £40,000.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the heart of their environmental and sustainability initiatives, supporting key frameworks such as SECR, ESOS, and Carbon Reduction, while embedding responsible business practices across the firm.
As an Environmental /Sustainability Co-ordinator, you’ll work closely with senior leadership and business assurance teams to coordinate and report on environmental performance, support internal sustainability committees, and help foster a culture of environmental responsibility. You’ll play a key role in developing our clients roadmap to net zero and ensuring they meet their sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed reports on sustainability metrics, progress, and initiatives,
- Organise and support committee meetings, including agendas, minutes, and follow-ups,
- Champion Environmental Management System and maintain relevant certifications,
- Coordinate sustainability committee actions and drive project execution,
- Promote awareness through workshops, training, and internal communications,
- Collect and analyse data to monitor performance and ensure regulatory compliance,
- Assist in developing and enhancing sustainability policies and procedures,
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to advance ESG goals,
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in sustainability practices.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in environmental management and sustainability,
- Strong project management and administrative skills, coordinating and implementing projects,
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpreting sustainability metrics,
- Basic understanding of environmental regulations and ESG principles to support the team in driving sustainable practices across the firm,
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal,
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and adaptable,
- Professional and collaborative approach,
- Experience in a law firm or professional services environment (desirable, not essential).
