Investment Risk Associate

Be-Resourcing is partnering with a prestigious financial institution in Edinburgh to identify a Contract Investment Risk Associate. This is a vital Second Line of Defence role, reporting directly to the Head of Investment Risk, and designed for a professional with solid experience in Quantitative and Investment Risk. The successful candidate will be responsible for independently assessing the risk profile of potential investments, conducting complex analysis across equity and debt-related investments, and providing valuable insights and recommendations to support sound decision-making. You will collaborate closely with the Investment Team to ensure robust risk mitigation strategies are embedded from the outset, helping to uphold our clients' risk governance framework. Your expertise will be instrumental in conducting thematic reviews, challenging assumptions, and enhancing risk reporting processes, all within a regulated environment and considering the macroeconomic influences impacting investments.

  • Previous experience managing debt and/or investments from a Second Line of Defence perspective within a financial services regulated setting
  • Strong knowledge of UK financial regulation and operational requirements of financial institutions
  • Proven ability to influence senior management and communicate complex risk insights effective
  • Professional qualifications such as ACIB/ACIBS, CA, CFA, or equivalent are highly regarded
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen analytical mindset to interpret complex data and recommend strategic solutions

This 6-month contract offers a day rate of £400 (to umbrella), providing a supportive environment where your expertise will directly contribute to ongoing risk management excellence.
