Account Executive

Our client, a well-established software solutions provider, is seeking a proactive and client-focused Account Executive to join their commercial team. Offering a competitive salary of £30,000 - £35,000, performance-based bonus, and a flexible hybrid working model (East Kilbride office), this role is ideal for someone with a background in software or SaaS sales who enjoys building strong client relationships and identifying growth opportunities.

 

The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of small and micro clients, focusing on upselling and cross-selling solutions, particularly transitioning clients from legacy systems to cloud-based platforms. You’ll collaborate with internal teams including sales, marketing, and product specialists to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs and drive business growth.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main point of contact for assigned clients, building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Understand client goals, challenges, and business needs to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Manage a pipeline of accounts, focusing on upselling and cross-selling.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to implement targeted campaigns and strategies.
  • Present and promote products and services to clients.
  • Liaise with product specialists to scope and convert cloud migration opportunities.
  • Negotiate pricing and service terms to maximise revenue while ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records in the CRM and supporting tech stack.
  • Handle client enquiries and issues efficiently.
  • Support sales administration tasks such as quote creation and contract preparation.

 

Requirements:

  • Honours degree or higher (preferred).
  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within software or SaaS sales.
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently or collaboratively.
